Become an Intern!

About

DGSS is a trusted link between the resources of WSU and the people and organizations of Washington and the Pacific Northwest. Helping to improve the quality of life for more than five decades, DGSS provides applied research, training, and technical assistance for organizations and communities in the Pacific Northwest.

The DGSS Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful hands-on experience for undergraduate and graduate students hoping to combine their academic experiences with applied work in criminal justice, political science, emergency management, and other fields. DGSS Interns gain real-world experience while earning course credit toward their degrees. DGSS provides training to interns to conduct important applied research projects in the Pacific Northwest, including analyzing the impact of minimum wage on Washington State restaurants, trust in police in local communities, resource management, among other important policy topics.

Students who have an interest in applied experience in criminal justice, political science, emergency management or other fields should seek an internship with DGSS.
