The Coastal Hazards Organizational Resilience Team (COHORT) was developed as an interagency team to address coastal hazards across disciplines. The agencies represented on COHORT are the Washington State Department of Ecology, Washington Sea Grant, Washington State Emergency Management Division and Washington State University (WSU) Extension.
WSU Extension’s Role
WSU Extension’s role on COHORT is to provide expertise in community engagement, educational programming, jobs training and community development. WSU Extension has a presence in all coastal counties of Washington State and has developed partnerships and working relationships that will help enhance COHORT goals and priorities.
