Technical Assistance

For more than 50 years, public and private organizations have relied on DGSS to analyze organizational data, to collect and analyze new data and organizational assessments, and to provide technical assistance. Utilizing various methods, DGSS provides meaningful and insightful assistance to organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Data Analysis

“Data analysis is a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making”.

DGSS provides objective analysis of data which has been collected by public agencies and through applied research studies. Drawing on years of experience, DGSS is able to produce accurate and insightful results.

Organizational Assessment

Through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and the use of historical data, DGSS provides functionality assessments for client organizations.

Examples of assessment topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Employee job satisfaction
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Workplace safety
  • Problem solving
  • Professional ethics

Appreciative Inquiry

DGSS works with client organizations to build their strengths through a process known as appreciative inquiry.

Appreciative inquiry uses the “4 D’s” (Discover, Dream, Design, Delivery) to create a vision and plan for the future. This method is more likely to inspire employees than traditional methods based on correcting mistakes.
